Generalization of Gyger-Cattin-Filter to 3D medical imaging

In this project, the denoising algorithm developed in the master thesis “Object Segmentation in Speckle Noise” was adapted to 3D medical image modalities in general. The algorithm is now able to remove different kinds of noise from various image modalities like magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT) and optical coherence tomography (OCT). As already proven with OCT, the algorithm reaches a remarkable performance with these other modalities as well.
